About Your Drinking
No one asked you to stop.
Dear Alessandro,
Hi, honey. I’m so sorry to hear that you and Enzo are going through a rough patch. My Enzo- he’s so passionate. He goes after what he wants, and he gets it. That can be intimidating for someone who’s life has no meaning.
And I know- He read your diary. But honey- he apologized! Come on.
You should be flattered. Do you know how hard it is to get people to read your stuff these days?
I haven’t finished reading it yet, but so far, it’s just your feelings and how badly you want a drink.
You know, you’re so worried about Enzo finding you or showing up unannounced. He’s in jail. He doesn’t even know where you live.
But I do.
Sandro, honey. I came by the other day, and I heard another man’s voice. Have you met someone new? From AA? One of your sober friends?
You know, Sandro… About your drinking… no one asked you to stop.
Enzo loves you just the way you are.
Though it might be a good thing that you and your new friend don’t drink.
There are a lot of stairs getting to your apartment. And those old railings!
A lot can happen between the fourth floor and the ground.
That’s how my Leslie died.
What was he doing at the top of the stairs in his wheelchair? Silly.
Well, I hope you don’t have plans for dinner. I made a calzone.
Love, Nonna Chinchilla

This is so funny!
I don't believe the calzone is homemade.
